Zone Alarm Problems

I recently started to have a problem with zone alarm. Whenever I go
to download files, or a video clip it seems to take twice as long, or
I get a message that I lost connection to where I'm downloading from.
If I shut off zone alarm, everything seems to return to normal. I
haven't tweaked anything in zone alarm lately, so I'm not sure what
the problem is. An example being trying to view the new star wars
trailer, it wont download, or would pull part of it. I shut zone
alarm off, and everything is fine. Anyone have any clues on this one?

That is very strange, a firewall shouldn't do that, it should either let
something through or not, no in-between. An AV could do that if it's
scanning files as you download, do you have the paid for version of ZA with
the AV part activated?
