IE6 pegs CPU at 100%

XP home ( and also on 98SE) with the latest upgrades to IE6 stops
responding.
COOL BEANS under XP sho 100% CPU. Treahig IE6 and restarting drops CPU to
very low
usage and good response. Sooner or later it hits 100% again and have to
restart IE again. Under 9SE, the MS system monitor shows 100% usage,
restarting ie fixes problem for a while.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Check your system for "hijackware":

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box". But even then, they can't catch
everything. HijackThis (http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
for expert analysis, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
