IE6 only works with https but not http

Hello,

I'm using Windows 2000 SP4.
Since 2 weeks, Internet Explorer 6 open only https or ftp pages.

With http, there is no error messages, no timeout and no connections are
established with web server.

It is not a firewall problem.
My system is clean, I make a scan whith Spybot and Ad-AWare SE.

I also trying to re-install IE6 an using the "RepairDefautPrefix.reg"
file with no success.

Is anyone has another idea ?

I have the same problem running IE6 on XP home Sp2, did you ever get it
resolved? The only way I found to get around it is to delete profile.

No, it still not working.
I tried to login with another profile (original administrator) and it's
the same thing. I created a new admin user and it don't work.

Have you already deleted your profile ? If no, regarding to these two
tests, I don't think it will work...

As I see in another thread I have the same program FreshDownload.
I unstalled it and now IE work fine !
