IE6 favorites problem

I hope I can explain this change in my favorites list in my IE6 SP1.

I have always had it set that when I clicked the "favorites" on my
browser the drop down list would show all my favorite folders. I would
click the folder I want to look in and the all the links in that
folder would drown.

Today, without changing anything, when I click the browser favorites I
had no folders in the drop down list. I had an arrow pointing down and
when I held the mouse over it, it says "want to know where your
favorites are? (paraphrase)" It says that no favorites were recently
visited and a folder or a link in the folder was added to my original
drop down list only after I visited the link. If I didn't visit the
link I wouldn't see it unless two tress opened up, a drop down tree
with the folders and off a folder the links tree opens. Like I said,
if I click one of those links/folder then it opens when I click
"favorites" but not until then.

Any help on wheat happened and how I get it back to the way I always
had it?

As always, thanks for any replies in advance!

Hi Forked - There are two modes of operation of your Favorites controlled in
IE6 by Tools|Internet Options|Advanced "Enable Personalized Favorites
Menu". If you want ALL of the Favorites to show every time you click on
Favorites, then uncheck this. If you want just the ones you've used most
frequently recently (but with the ability to expand to all by clicking on
the arrow you mentioned) then leave it checked (as it probably is now).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The one that actually
corrected my problem was unchecking the one "Close unused folders in
History and Favorites"

Thanks again.
