IE6 - Browser will not display background color of websites

Sir Bill

Internet Explorer 6 on a windows xp home edition will not display the
background color of any web site. Opra displays the background colors of the
web site. I do not want to use Opra, I want to browse the internet using
Internet Explorer. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Check that you did not force a background color by doing this. Start IE.

Tools > Internet Options > Colors (ensure that 'use windows colors' is
CHECKED)

Tools > Internet Options > Accessibility (ensure that no boxes are checked)

Hello and thanks for the response,
I hve checked both and both are fine. Upgrading to IE7 did not help. The
body of each page is displayed in white no mater what color the web page
requests.
