I've win xp IE 6, once i surf the web, the explorer doesn't show the
background images/colors, so i've tried looking into the internet options for
some configuration mistake but nothing appear,I've tried with another browser
and it works correctly.

I will be thankful for any suggestion or help that you provide me.

Hi Andrés :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Background Colors or Images Are Not Visible on Web Pages in Internet
Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=277008

also..

Go to>Internet Options>Accessibility button. Make sure the box next to
"Ignore colors specified by Web pages" is unchecked.

Hope this helps.

"Ignore colors specified by Web pages" is unchecked.

If it is (or anything else there is checked) and you didn't check it, better
find out what did!

I'm having the same problem; I have just white backgrounds, very large
buttons with large text in them & huge page fonts too.

I'm using XP home, IE 6.02
I've aready tried those usual changes suggested below..

By the way; if I check the ignor font and set the view text to "smallest",
then the fonts become a little smaller but not as small as they should be !!!

Now for the backgrounds; it doesn't matter if I check the ignore box or not,
nothing changes!!

The rest of the computer is fine with normal font sizes and icons. But the
IE just doesn't respond. In some sites, the dropdown navigation is so big it
overlaps ontop of each other so bad you can hardly read it.

Is there another ajustment any where else for I.E. ????

Please let me know.
Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike :)

Hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel forward or backward and see
if the font size changes. If so, set it to whatever size you want, release
the Ctrl key, close IE and reopen and see if the font size stays as you
wish.

I'll check further on the background issue and post back.

Hope this helps.

I got it Jan, (well actually, it was this guy named don who clued me in)

It was the Control Panel> Accessibility> High res. that was checked. I
thought it was for just sharper contrast not bigger fonts.

I keep focusing only on the IE options, and not XP controls.

Thanks.

Mike
