IE6 Address Bar

Just like a previous post, I'm having an issue with loading websites in the
Address Bar. I've noticed that when I type an address "www.(any
website).com", IE just sits there and won't load the page for at least 45-60
seconds. However, if I type in the FULL address: http://www.(any
website).com then it will load. This recently started happening within the
past week. Before I could always just type the www and the page would load
but now I have to fully qualify the link with the http protocol.
Why??????????????????????

Alex - I hpe someone will respond here. I'm having exactly the same problem
(need to add http:// to each address). I find that addresses in favorites
respond quickly, but they've been saved with the http:// prefix.

Can anybody help?

Amazingly it's working now. I don't know if the update from yesterday fixed
it or what but it sure was a strange situation. Hopefully yours is working
now too.
