IE6 address bar entries

I can not delete previous entries in the address bar of Internet Explorer
v6.

The help file says to clear history but this does not clear the above.
Neither does clearing temp files nor deleting cookies.

Has anyone any suggestions please.

Close all instances of Internet Explorer, and shut down your anti-virus
program _temporarily_. Then, try this:

Click Start/Run and type INETCPL.CPL
Click "Clear History" button

Then, turn ON the anti-virus program. If that does not help, follow the
advice here:

Delete the History folder and index.dat:
