IE6.0 and SBC Yahoo browser hangup issues

I have the same problem with both products, when I go to
click on a link that opens a new window or I click crtl N
to open a new window.. they sometimes hang up on me to
the point I need task bar to close them and restart the
browser. Any ideas on the cause? This is the second time
I've tried to post here because the first time I clicked
on new post and it hung up on me. Any help is greatly
appreciated.

Re-register all DLLs listed in this KB article...

Installing the latest Cumulative Patch for IE may solve the problem as a
side-effect. Check in at Windows Update.
