IE6.0 and pop up blocking

Does IE6.0 have an automatic option to block pop ups? I
recently have run into a problem after doing Windows
updates and a download of the newest version of Java that
prevents loading a chat applet in a separate window. The
message at the bottom of the screen says pop up window was
blocked. What option on internet settings, if any, can be
changed so that IE will stop blocking pop ups?
