IE Won't Open

A newly encountered problem with IE6- it will not open.
Task manager shows it resident in 'processes', but
not "applications".

It started working again after I was reinstalled Office
2000 for another reason, then suddenly stopped again.

I can get email and my news reader works fine.
msnexplorer works (until this IE6 problem, I didn't know
there WAS an msnexplorer!)

Any ideas out there on a fix? I scrolled through a lot
of articles in the MS knowledge base, but couldn't find
an answer.

Interesting Jim! This happened to us just this mornign. the wife (bless her
computer illiterate soul, went to go surfing adn POOF! no IE came up. I'm
trying to figure out how to get it back now as well. I look forward to see
the responses you get
