IE won't open homepage domain pages

IE6 WXPSP2 laptop has homepage that IE6 will not open. DNE query is
apparently successful as correct IP address shows up in status. I've Run
AdAware, SpyBot, MSAntispyware & SpySweeper. The laptop was profoundly
infested with spyware. BUT, the user's home page will not open. All other
PCs on the same network have no difficulty with it. I've checked for
blockage by site to no avail. Norton Antivirus is running but no software
firewalls except for the one in XP.

I just don't know where else to look for this. I even tried to open it using
Windows Explorer but that wouldn't work either.
