IE won't load ANY pages

Win 98, IE 6.0 SP1-Attempting to load ANY page results in a
"The Page Cannot Be Displayed" error and a heading of
"Cannot find server". This results in either the home page
or ANY of about 20 pages I've tried (Google, Yahoo, etc.)
My ISP is Road Runner in Austin, Tx (cable modem). Outlook
works fine and I can access all the above mentined pages
with Netscape. I've repaired, reinstalled, deleted, and
reapplied all the IE 6.0 downloads I can find on the MS
site but still no dice. Any suggestions out there?

Max,
Most errors of that type are adware or Winsock related.

Try running the Winsock repair tools on the very bottom
of this page:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

It is best if you run one or both of the following first:

Download/install/run Ad-Aware from:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
This will detect any spyware on your system. When you run Ad-Aware, click on
the ref update to get the latest up-to-date ref file, run Ad-Aware and
delete everything it finds.

If you are more advanced, then download/install/run:
Spybot - Search & Destroy from :
http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download

Hope this helps.
