IE hangs

IE browser loads a web page and then hangs after few
Windows are opened. We have to restart the system for
browsing.

It's something which I can't figure it out.

I use Windows 2000 professional as OS and IE 6.0. Cable
modem for net connection. Once the problem starts even
using Netscape I cannot open a new web page. I can chat.
Has no information about this. Anybody???

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
