IE won't close

Help
If I open 10 windows while browsing, I have 10 Iexplore(s)
in the "Close Program" box after choosing "Ctrl-Alt-Del"
even after closing down from the internet. I'm using IE6.0
on cable modem. What's happening and how do I fix it?
Thanks!

It is possible you may have parasites on your system causing the problem.
Download, install, update the programs to be sure they have the latest
definitions, then run the programs below. They are free and very effective.
Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as what one does not detect the
other may. Follow the directions carefully:

SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free

AdAware: Free

Hi. I had the same problem.
I fixed it in two ways (two different dates, hopefully
this second fix lasts...

The firts way to try: -- Unload/unistall any program that
amy be having a conflict. In my case, it was AdSubtract
(Ads cleaner). It is a great program ,but it conflicted
with some thing on my machine, so AdSubtract WAS good on
my machine.

That fix lasted about two weeks, and yesterday, same damn
thing. My problem is exagerated by the fact that IE
doesn't let me type ANYTHING on ANYPAGE. So I investigated
serious resources, and I was directed to MicroSoft.
They have an article in the KB (knowledge Base)forum,
about re-installing IE6. You need to look at that article
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;293907&Product=ie600)>). You may have to try one or
more options to get you back on track.
I used a combination of re-install by modifying the
registry and the command line.

SO far so good (it has been about 60 minuts...)
good luck
