IE window size changed when opening a new window

Why is it that microsoft can't fix a simple problem like the IE window size?

That is NOT a MS problem. It's a problem with your settings.

No (ms) office installed, although I do have an old version (97) of access.

Under ITS FILE....command, it's got:
Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome ms-its:%1::/

Elsewhere, it's just got: -nohome

Yeah right. I'm using ms XP and ms IE and it's NOT a ms problem.
I suggest you change your name from Plato to something more suitable, like
Muppet.

Do NOT use "maximize" use "Normal window", secondary windows ALWAYS open
windowed. Open ONE instance of IE, window it. move and drag the side so
it fills the desktop and then close it. Now when you open the first and
subsequent windows they will alway open the same size.(unless of course
you close some odd sized window last)
