IE will not work.

Can anyone help?

Recently, we switched ISPs from PeoplePC to Charter Communications (cable).
I deleted the People PC folder, and ever since IE will not work because it
was connected to it somehow. Here is the message I get when try Run:
iexplore:

"Cannot find 'file//c:/program files/peoplepc/toolbar/peoplepal.htm. Make
sure the path or Internet is correct."

There is no icon on the desktop nor is it listed in Start - Programs. I do
not see a setup file in the IE Program Files folder, but there is one on my
hard drive.

Could it be that file was set as your Home page in IE - the page IE goes to
when first started? Go to Start...Settings...Control Panel...Internet
Options, General tab, and in the top section, see what your Home page is set
to. If it's that file, then change it to Blank or something else you'd like
to use.
