ie starts then closes imediately

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has seen this before. IE 6 sp1 w/ the latest
ie security update on WinXP Pro. Click on IE and it starts up, it will get
to the inital webpage then closes immediately after the page is done
loading. I've tried a number of different startup pages, think it's save to
say it's not the page, nor flash. Unchecked JIT compiler under MS jm, and
that didn't help me. Has anyone seen this problem before?

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

I'll look for hijackware on this pc. The virus definitions are updated
everyday automatically on desktops w/ errors logged if they don't, and our
email server checks hourly for updates.
