Java causes IE errors

When I open a Java website from IE6, the Windows Installer
window pops up for a few seconds, before the Java window
opens. Then on some previously working Java sites,
especially the ones that require the JIT VM Compiler
enabled, IE says there is an error and has to close and
restart. I have W2KSP4, IE6SP1, and MS VM 3810, with all
the latest updates. I have tried to isolate the problem
by turning on and off various Java features and
reinstalling IE and VM. Tried the SUN Java, but it will
not work for some sites I access, because they need the
JIT Compiler enabled. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am having the same trouble, every time i try the site it says Microsoft
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and must close. Please help
