I have XP Home Edition and cable access and just
installed SP2. At first I was unable to connect and now
have some status icon in my system tray for the network
connections that I never had before. At first it would
say something like 'limited connectivity' and network
card unplugged. After re-installing the driver for the
either card, I was able to connect. However, now after
being idle or close the browser(IE), it will say can't
display page?

If you right click the network connections icon, there
are several options. Disable, Status, Repair, Change
Windows Firewall Settings, Open Network Connections. If
I select repair, Windows does something and then I'm able
to browse again. Why?

I've tried to disable the firewall and it still does the
same thing.

Any ideas why it would disable me from browsing like this?

I have the same problem too. This e-book doesn't address
this issue. Don't waste your time.
