IE shuts down when a pdf is viewed

When a .pdf is opened in IE by clicking a link and when
the window is closed after viewing, IE gives an error msg
(application error, "memory could not be read") and shuts
down.
I have windows XP professional, IE 6 and adobe acrobat 5.

Someone pls. help. It really is turning into a headache.
 
I have xp pro and ie 6 also. I upgraded to acrobat six
the other day because I had the same problem as you, and
it works fine now.
