IE shuts down and reopens new url when clicked

I am using IE6. Whenever I click on an URL to another page the window I am in
shuts down and a new window opens up at the "new url". This get pretty
annoying, specifically if I am needing more than one window open. The only
thing new I have done is download a flash player. I removed it and all
components I could find. Any thoughts? I can give you any more info if it is
needed.
Thanks,
Danny

Hi Danny :)
Thanks Jan,
I don't know how that was unchecked but.....It works now :^)

You're very welcome! Glad to hear you were able to resolve your problem.
Good job!

Things sometimes happen without a clue. My last update for W2K on 12/16/04
managed to change my MS related location, so all the MS KB articles were
showing up in Hungarian...??? When I finally found the site with the area
maps during my troubleshooting, I saw that the location selection window had
Hungary in it, instead of the United States! W'll...as I don't speak
Hungarian, I reselected the United States and then all was back to normal.
Go figure. ;o))

Thank you for posting back and letting us know what worked for you, and for
the benefit of other readers who might have a similar problem. :)
