Visual C++ Runtime Library Error -- IE Shuts Down

Hello.

Oftentimes when I open a new browser window or type in a
new address I receive an error message and IE shuts down.
The error message is this:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminiate
it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's
support team for more information.
