IE Save Prompt

T

Timmy

I accidentally clicked on "open" instead of "save as" and
I accidentally also unchecked "ask me this every time".
So, now it doesn't prompt me to open or save it just
opens the file. I want my prompt back!

Hi Timmy - You need to check this and/or set it for those not checked for
each file type that you download:

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to the file type in question, e.g. for .zip
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File, for this example)
Click on Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version, and check the
"Confirm open after download" box.
