IE restricting content

IE really drives me crazy.

I have been trying for months to get it to work on my machine where I am
developing .net pages and it will not work properly (won't post back at
all). Mozilla and Netscape work fine and I have been using them to develop
from. It only seems to happen when working with IIS on this machine XP Pro
SP2.

I now find that I can not set up my Slide menus as I get an error saying:

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file
from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for
options"

I can then allow the blocked content. But if I access the page again, I get
the error.

I have enabled everything from the Security area of the Tools/Internet
Options menu and set security to Low.

This should allow everything.

What is the problem?

Where else do I need to go to fix this? It shows a yellow shield at the
bottom right of the page and in the content message?

Thanks,

Tom.

Hi Tom,

Allow active content to run in files on My Computer - Windows XP Service Pack 2:

Follow "Mark of the Web" option.

Hi Tom,

That solved the content problem.

I was hoping it would solve the asp.net problem, but doesn't -
unfortunately. I am sure it is some setting somewhere that I can't seem to
find. It obviously has something to do with running asp.net, IIS and IE on
the same machine - but only for Windows XP Service Pack 2. I don't have
this problem on my W2K machine. I've given up on this problem as it has
cost me weeks of work trying to track the problem.

Thanks,

Tom
