IE Question

The problem that I am having is whenever I double-click on either IE, My
Documents, My computer and various other shortcuts on my desktop....the
screen goes blank and won't allow me to access/open anything. The only way
that I can get to the internet is through Netscape Communicator only
temporarily. Don't know if this is a virus or if I accidentally deleted
something. Any help out there would be appreciated.

Communicator is a Mail Client, Jason. Netscape Navigator is the browser.

Sorry for the confusion.....I meant to say Netscape Navigator. I followed
the below link and made the change to internet options. It was already
defaulted. I am very weary about uninstalling Netscape completely off my
system. Tried re-installing IE 6 and got an error message with not being
able to verify the logo failed. Any ideas?

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box". But even then, they can't catch
everything. HijackThis
(http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred
tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/,
not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
