IE PROBLEMS

M

Marcia

I have Earthlink as my ISP. I normally use IE to access
the internet, but about 2 weeks ago I could not get it to
go to any sites. I can access the internet via my Outlook
and through the Earthlink browser, but not IE. I have
tried everything from removing IE 6.0 to renaming files as
MS recommends with no result. I get Cannot find server
DNSerror. Anyone have ideas?

Hi,
This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:
The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

Or LSP-Fix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm or another of the winsock
repair tools listed on that page may help.

Still more possibilities at http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#dns

I have the same problem on one machine. Netscape worked
temporarily)fine. Does yours work after using those
software to remove spyware/adware?
