I get this problem every now and again....sometimes it fixes itself....I've called HP support 4 times..no one knows whats wrong...I need to type in HTTP:// before going anywhere...If not....it takes 5 minutes for the page to show up....When this happens...my FTP will not connect...I've ran a spyware and paid for that...I've run the diagnostics..no issues...What Is Wrong?
Can anyone help please.........-((

Hi Linda:

HP is not a very good source for such problems. IMO you are probably having
this problem because of one or more incorrect settings. For example, perhaps
you are not using the AUTOCOMPLETE feature. From the IE HELP instructions,
setting up Autocomplete is as follows:

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

Hope this helps.

First eliminate any scumware.
See (everything here is free)
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
