I know its a long email..... maybe someone in this group
might have an idea what to do. I have tried Msinfor32 and
tried to fix internet exployer. It does absolutely
nothing. HELP!!! Any other ideas out there??? Please go
to bottom of note for details...

Maybe one of the IE experts can help you--try a post in an
IE newsgroup:

Scroll back up the Community Newsgroups list to Internet
Technologies (for
an IE/OE problem). Click it and then find the appropriate
newsgroup to post
to.

I tried your suggestions. 1. I click on repair and
nothing happens. It just goes back to the orinigal screen.
No pop ups or errors.
I then tried sfc.exe. It processed and the details were:
Folders examined 494
Files examined 2553
Files added to verification data file 148
Files removed from verification data file 108
Files updated in verification datat file 307
Files restored 0
File changes ignored 0

Now what??? Any suggestions??

EXPLAINATION OF PROBLEM ....

Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

Rule out parasites.
Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

If you are not able to get to any sites it could be a Winsock problem.
You will need this fix.

If all fails I suggest to re state your current problem and tell what you
have tried so far.
