All of the sudden, when I'm in IE or OE adialer pops up saying I'm offline
and I have to connect. If I just close the box, then usually everything is
fine, but sometimes I have actually click on the connect button before it
will leave me alone for a while. FYI, I use spybot and adaware regularly,
as well as McAfee, so I know it's not something like that (or at least I'm
reasonably sure it's not). I keep all these things updated on at least a
weekly basis.
Sometimes it's the dialer that shows the account and other times it's the
small box that just has the "connect" button and the "work offline" button.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA!

If you have McAfee VirusScan 8.0 installed then it could be a McAfee
issue. This version wants to connect every 5 minutes to see if there
are any updates available.

Zoso,
Do you have OE set to check for new messages every ?? minutes?
OE | Tools | Options | General [tab]
"If my computer is not connected at the time"
[Drop-down options box]
