IE is not saving my printer preferences

I ran out of color ink a while ago, and I changed my
printer preferences to print only black ink. Well...I
got my color ink, and I have reset the color preferences
in the printer properties itself through control panel,
and reset my IE preferences to go back to color, and IE
won't accept them except for the current browser session
only. Next time I start IE, it's back to black.

Any suggestions?

There's a button on the preferences screen to set the
settings to default. This option doesn't appear on all
machines, and is probably OS specific. I would try to find
that button in the printer pref screen, OR log on as the
system admin and try to change the settings.
