Printer Suggestions Please

Hi

Looking for a decent reasonable priced color printer.
My Canon 900 died, my dell 720 always has to be reinstalled,
piece of crap. If possible reasonable priced cartridges.

Not a professional photo taking person just an hobby who likes
to take family photos.
I prefer not to purchase the 'all in one' type printer, just a decent
color printer.
Also your advice on besides the color printer, original ink &
compatible ink for same printer.

Have you gone to local Staples, OfficeMax and OfficeDepot type stores and actually looked
at various printers ?

Cannon have user replaceable print head may be that is all it needs?

Also find out what is wrong with your Cannon by doing some Google
searches, as above it could be just a simple fix.

No David I haven't yet & will but was looking for recommendations of
either which are good or bad. I am a senior with limited funds so I
can't spend much.

That Cannon printer is long gone. At the time couldn't afford a new head.
And we weren't sure that was the problem, I couldn't afford to gamble to
find out I lost $100+ Was a great printer I will say.
The colors were leaking out & mixing together. Yes tried new cartridges
same results. Gave up!
Then family gave me this Dell 720 color printer but for some odd
reason it will stop printing in color so I have to uninstall & reinstall.
Can't find the reason & it's an old printer so no longer supported by Dell.
When it works it's fine but when it acts up during a print I get a blank
page(s).

All the more reason you want to touch and see available printers and aak questions about
them. Nobody says you must buy them.
