IE icon next to a web page in favorites folder not....

I'm using Win XP Home Edition/IE 6, and today I when I
was looking through my favorites- I saw that next to some
web sites that I have, the icon is not what it's supposed
to be (the "E" blue letter thing). It is something else,
but I don't know how to describe it. And I emptied my
history, files, cookies, everything, and it's not fixed
yet. But those links work, so I don't think it has to do
with the link or anything. What can it be wrong?

Thanks,
Debbie

Sounds like Favicons (FavoriteIcons) which can be supplied by the website...
for example Yahoo.com used a red "Y"...

These are often only temporary so if you empty the temp items folder they
will go away but if that's what it is it's not a bug or a problem, just
cosmetic.

Tools>internet options>general tab... Delete files should get you to the
temp files deletion...

Not even the yahoo icon works, it's just like a square
icon. And I already deleted the files and everything, and
nothing happened. So, is it like a bug or something?

Thanks,
Debbie
