Under my curretn use account I cannot acces my history
items. I see them but they all have the wrong icon and
attach a 'ne@http://'. Therfore when I click the link it
wont open because of this ne@ that has been appended to
it. Has anyone encountered this? This is a new install
and it was doing this before the install also. If I
create another use account, they do experience this ne@.
Heres a few examples of what my History items look like.

ne@http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/xnewsleft.aspx?
oc=1,5,2&noise=1&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

ne@http://www.google.ca

and so on. If you can be any help I would very much
appreciate it.

Rule out parasites.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
