IE Hangs

Hi All,
I am facing a severe problem with IE-6, I am using Windows
XP Professional, whenever I open a new window in IE or
submit a form button at any site, it stuck / hangs.
sometimes this problem persist for 1 to 15 seconds and
after that it work normally and sometimes I have to use
Widows Task Manager to finish it.

Hope you suggest me a appropriate solution.

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

Hi,
I've had a similar problem with IE hanging, but only on certain hotel sites (like Hilton or Starwood) and only when I am submitting a final step like a confirmation. Their support people don't seem to exist. I tried your approach mentioned above (e.g. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions); however, it didn't remedy the situation. I also use spybot s&d on a regular basis and have found nothing abnormal on my system. When I try these hotel operations on another machine running XP and IE 6.0.2800, everything submits fine. I, however, am running IE 6.0.3790 on W2003 server. Any ideas left?
