IE 6.0 address bar hangs

Hello,

The problem I am facing is that when I click on the pull-
down arrow of the address bar in IE6.0 then IE sometimes
just hangs. I get varying results each time ranging from
getting immediate pull-down to a delayed response to the
above mentioned hang.

Any pointers to this issue will be appreciated. I am
using Windows 2000 Professional and IE is patched to
latest updates through windows update.

I had the same problem and it turned out that I had a bad
spot on my hard drive. Once I did a scandisk and defrag,
IE 6.0 did not have any more problems and I could pull
down the address bar arrow without the program hanging up.
