IE hangs

When I go to MS website to update the security patches, IE
hangs as soon as I click on "Scan for updates". The only
way I can kill the process is either rebooting or through
task manager.

Does anyone have any idea what may have happened? FYI, I
run XP professional, IE version 6.0.2800.

Hi Fari,
With everyone worried about the Sasser Virus, trying to update all at once,
the site may just be overwhelmed. If that is also your concern, you may have
more luck if you download the patch from MS an install it manually.

You need to be sure you have updated Anti Virus Software and a good
Firewall this Virus is becoming epidemic.
