IE hangs on Win 98

Hi,
I've been having this problem forever now.
IE 5 and 6 hang on my win 98. I can click a few pages and then it slows ..a
few pages and then slows.

Any remedies for this?

Have you deleted your temp internet files recently ?
Set the max file size for about 50 Mb, there's no need to
have more.
Also, you may want to check for
parasites/spyware...download and install Ad-aware and
spybot...Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites,
Toolbars and Search Engines
