See if this helps:
Close IE and all Office Programs.
Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 msxml5.dll" (without quotes) -> OK.
If still no joy run the Detect and Repair feature in your Office programs: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822238/en-us
"How to understand the repair feature in Office 2003 and in Office XP"
-> "On-demand detect and repair".
