IE forgets setting

In Internet Explorer 6, which I am using with Win2000, when
I choose Never dial a connection in Internet
Options/Connections, the setting seems to get lost or not
remembered since each time I start up my computer the
dialup program opens and wants to connect with my ISP. How
can I correct this?

Try the following and see if it helps:

My dialup settings keep changing from 'never dial' to 'always dial' or
'always dial' to 'never dial
