I had to reinstall Windows XP for a friend of mine and I got everything back
working exceot for one oddity. Wherever I access a secure web site (https)
I get a page not found. All other web sites are fine. Searching the
knowledgebase shows some fixes for Windows 2000 but couldn't find anything
for XP. I changed all the IE settings temporarily to allow anything (no
security) but that didn;t help either. Any thoughts out there?

See "How to troubleshoot problems accessing secure Web pages with
Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 2"
