Can't connect to https pages

Dean J Garrett

Hello,

A few days ago, I noticed that I can no longer connect to web pages with
https: I used to, but not now. For example, if I go to an e-commerce site
and place things in the cart, and then proceed to checkout, I get an error
message. I notice that the page I'm going to has https: All other pages and
sites work fine. Is there anything that the XP Pro firewall could be doing
to limit my acces to these pages? This situation just recently happened.

Thanks!!!

You have to re-register the following dll's at the command prompt (cmd).

Since you apparently have SP2, you can do it all in one go:

Start>Run cmd [enter]
iexplore.exe /rereg [enter]

Hello!

Well, the iexplore.exe command didn't work, but this did:

ipconfig /flushdsn

Works fine for all https: pages now.

Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for updating the thread.
