IE EXPLORER response problem

D

Better repost this here or I'm liable to never get an answer from the other
internet explorer NG for outlook express (so I have to double post each
time my browser AND outlook express have same problem??? well....ok if you
all insist, I'm not one to rock the boat )

...........
I had written about how both my outlook express, and I.E. 6 browser would
(often, as in daily) "stop responding" causing the "end now/send report"
windows to pop up.

I was given some info articles from MS websites (from this newsgroup) that
gave 2 avenues of hopefully resolving the issues: One was how to alter the
registry thereby allowing for a simple reinstall of either (or both) I.E.
6/OE, and this did not resolve the problem.

I then did the reinstall of XP used BOTH styles: the one from within
windows, and the one from booting off the CD (because both caused blue
screen error messages which prevented me from getting to my desktop), which
I resolved by finally removing my display (driver?) from the device manager
window in safe mode and scanning for new hardware which allowed me to
search/install from the mgfrs CD that came with my Video Card (since just
using the CD by itself to reinstall the drivers failed to work....this was
BEFORE I removed the display info from device mgr).

Final result: I'm back on desktop, going for the updates, yet even before I
reapplied any updates I.E. 6 still constantly stops responding (I've noticed
now that this happens if I try to scroll the loaded page before all the pop
up "ads" have finished).
And yes I have tried with my pop up stopper disabled also, with same result
in I.E. 6.

I suspect its just a matter of time before outlook express start this same
type of non responsive behavior, without someone's help from this newsgroup.
