IE Explorer 7 crashing with one user profile but not another

I normally use Firefox, but for some sites I need to use IE Explorer
and for Quickbooks it has to be IE 7. Today my IE Explorer 7 stopped
working - it just crashes with an error report message saying that IE
has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. It seems to be some
kind of memory access violation type error. I did a fresh reinstall,
but the problem persists. I wondered if it was a Norton Internet
Security 2007 problem.

What is odd though is that if I switch to another user profile on my
XP Pro machine (both with Admin priviledges), IE Explorer 7 seems to
be running fine. But when I switch back to my regular user account it
crashes again.

Are there some kind of settings I can just delete?

Thanks in advance.

Error message when you start Internet Explorer in Windows XP: "Microsoft
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience":

Chances are the User Profile where you're encountering the problem is
infected with hijackware. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including
posting your hijackthis log to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
