IE Error message

I am receiving the following error:

"The application has caused the runtime to terminate in an
unusual way."

Have found little help relevant to my problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++, Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.

Could be a Java setting.

"Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\explore.exe"
The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
It appears that I have both Java(Sun) and MS VM on the PC. After
disabling/unchecking Java(Sun) the runtime error ceased in IE6. Source:
