IE error message regarding Norton AntiVirus

When I try to run a full scan using my Norton AntiVirus
software, I get this message:

Char: 8
Error: Unspecified Error
Code: 0
URL res://C:\PROGRA~\Norton~1\NAVUI.dll/navstats.htm

What does this mean and how can I correct it?

NAV version?

Uninstall NAV 2004 and reinstall it
(http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2003090415405206) and
then run LiveUpdate:

Start Norton AntiVirus. If Norton AntiVirus is part of Norton SystemWorks or
Norton Internet Security, then start that program.

Click the LiveUpdate icon.

Select all available updates.

Restart the computer when prompted.

Repeat steps 1-5 until you see the message "Thank you for using LiveUpdate.
All of the Symantec products and components installed on your computer are
currently up-to-date. Remember to check for new updates frequently."
