NAV problem

Hi,

I have win 2000 pro with all the latest updates, service pack 4 and so on.

I have a problem with my Norton antivirus 2002. Whenever I try to start it I
got an error message like
"Script fault in Internet Explorer. A fault has appeared in the script on
this site"
Row: 169
Char: 2
Fault: Access denied
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\Program\NORTON~1\NAVUI.dll/navstats.htm

"Do you want to continue execute scripts on this site?"
YES, NO (buttons)

If I click YES, NAV starts but I can't do anything like virus scan etc.

If I go to semantec site and let them do a an update-search on my PC they
say I need to update my software. When I do "Live Update" it says I already
got the latest version. :(

Been trying to solve this for days now, without luck.

Please any one with the same problem or experience!

Regards,
Per

As I remember when I had NAV 2002, you had to uninstall the old updater and
install a newer version of updater that you can get from the symantec
website, or so they said, however I found that if you just uninstalled NAV
and then reinstalled it, it fixed the problem, but then again that was also
on a W98SE OS.
If that doesn't work, I would suggest backing up your files and wiping your
hard drive and then reinstalling.

Good Luck

Eric
