IE crash @ file download

Hi,

I have a problem with my IE6 (running on WinME) that when I try to download
a file from a page IE dies half-way thru the download saying that it has
caused an error. Ultimately I will have to reboot to make the computer work
properly again.

I would appreciate if somebody knows what I can do about it or give me some
pointers.

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
