IE closing as soon as you open it

I have a client who is experincing a weird issue where, when she opens
Internet Explorer, it closes right away.

Any ideas on what this may be?

Tell her to try a chkdsk /f and reboot.

I've had this when the caches have gotten corrupt.

Actually Andrew, we're not sure why, but where I work we discovered
that this is being caused somehow by the Yahoo Toolbar. For now the
way to get around this is to completely uninstall the toolbar.
