IE starts opening actually starts showing the Home page than closes with the following message " Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Filipe,

When you click the Internet Explorer icon, window may flash a second and quits. Or, it may show an Error-Reporting dialog. This may be due to a malware Browser Helper Object which causes Internet Explorer process to terminate. If you see the Error-Reporting dialog, click "to see what data this report contains" and identify the Module Name causing this error. In most cases, it may be the spyware DLL. Therefore, reinstalling Internet Explorer [in case of a spyware DLL] may not help.

To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in Internet
Explorer
1. Click Start, Run, and type inetcpl.cpl. [or control inetcpl.cpl]
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
4. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:

I followed your instructions, and determined that the problem was, as you said, a DLL file (wings.dll)
I continued to follow your sugestions, identified the BHO's and deleted them with the use of BHODeamon and Ad-Ware
IE is working now

Thank's for your Help, GREATtLY appreciated
